Who
will take the LCCC 2012 Road Race Championship at Willow Grove on Sunday
May 20.
Will
Sam Beveridge go back to back, can Darren Spiteri get his name back on the
trophy after eight years or Danny Gafa win it twice within three years.
Will
there be a new name on the trophy to make it eight different winners from
the past ten years. What ever the outcome the race should provide some
exciting racing.
There
will be support races for B, C & D grades with prize money coming from
entry money in those grades. Lets see a good turn up of club riders for
the last few club races before the Gippsland 3 Day Tour on the long
weekend in early June.

riders that started the ANZ Baw Baw Classic finished inside the there time limits. Topping the list was Roland Elsdon
finishing 6th overall in Masters 4+ and 2nd Masters 5 in the time of
4:03:08.
Mas
1-3 Colin Aitken 20th 4:22:46, Brett Van Berkel 24th 4:36:48.
Masters 4+ Glenn Trevorrow 27th 4:57:21, John Taylor 28th 5:05:01. C grade
Adam Lancaster 36th 5:08:09. Well done to all.

Latrobe
City CC was well represented at 2012 World Track Championships
at Hisense Arena over the past week. Shannon McCurley, although riding for
Ireland still had the thoughts of club members and was also supported by
one of our own, Darren McSpiteri who was the mechanic for the Irish team.
McSpiteri can be seen pushing Shannon off in her attempt to win the
Scratch Race Championship in the photos below. Shannon officially
finished 12th according to the UCI Results list. Well done Shannon, a
great learning experience for the youngest in the race.

great opportunity to race the circuit to be used for the final day of this years
Gippsland 3 Day Tour.

It's
time for those club members that Tunksy filled in for (Duty Officers) while he
was recovering from his injuries to repay the favour by stepping up to these
duties.

Notice-
Gippsland Road Championships June 3 @ Heyfield - It has been brought
to our attention one of the roads to be used for the Gippy Road Champs will have
works happening beside the road which involves lane closure and traffic lights.
The permit system does work. Therefore we will not be able to run this event
on June 3rd as advertised. The road will be affected for all of June and I
will bet into July. We are looking into our options right now and will have to
find a later date and possibly different venue. We will keep you posted. Please
let your members know via your websites and at club races not to come to
Heyfield that day.

of May 16, Voting stands at - Leave at Sunday 10.00am 31%, Sunday 2.00pm 8%,
Saturday Morning 10.00am 14%, Saturday 2.00pm 42%, Would not Race Any Time in
Winter 6%.
When
voting on venues bear in mind that the LCCC is only getting very small numbers(6-10) at
winter races. Is it the venues like Boolarra & Willow Grove that members
consider too hard keeping them away. The Boolarra Circuit has an average of 2.4%
